Advanced Master Class
on DNA for Genealogists *
DNA : I have the results now what?
DNA testing is a very useful tool which can be used as a complement to traditional family history research.
The connecting with unknown cousins, proving (or disproving the family story) and discovering from whom you inherited that bit of DNA is very satisfying but to get the best “bang for your buck” means it is not a set and forget test.
It entails analysing the results. Some organisation is required and the use of 3rd party tools can enhance the Autosomal and X DNA analysis.
* PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to attend BOTH DNA Master Classes please select this option as it is held in conjunction with Introduction to DNA for Genealogists.
A pre-requisite for the Advanced class is attendance at the Introduction to DNA for Genealogists Master Class.
Friday @ 2.15 pm
Fee - $10.00
Learn about how to care for collection materials. What leads to deterioration, damage and loss of items and what can be done to prevent it.
Real life examples of items typically found in collections, such as a photograph, a bound volume and a document (a precious letter or certificate) will be used to demonstrate how best to preserve them.
